Drummer Chris Beck will be in concert at the Englewood Public Library, on Thursday, July 16, at 7:30 p.m. on the library’s front plaza.
This will be the 2nd concert in the Library's 14th annual Summer Jazz Concert Series - "Jazz Under the Stars". This acclaimed series takes place every Thursday evening at 7:30 through August 27. The concert series is free and open to the public. In case of inclement weather,
the concert will be held in September.
Attendees will need to bring their own chair and/or blanket.
Continuing in the music legacies of his father and grandfather, Chris Beck is making a name for himself on the New York scene as a hard-swinging, powerhouse drummer and composer. Beck’s refreshing and soulful vision as an artist is on full display, as is his unique ability to pay homage to the classic straight-ahead style of jazz while infusing elements of his African roots and Gospel upbringing.
