The Community Chest Hosting Management Workshop
The Community Chest's Professional Development Series is offering a volunteer management workshop on January 27.
Are you looking for useful techniques to develop, maintain and manage volunteers? Register today for The Community Chest's third workshop of its 2016-2017 Professional Development Series. Speaker Debbie Emery, Director of Community and Youth Engagement with the Bergen Volunteer Center, will present Strategies for Developing and Operating Your Successful Volunteer Program on Friday, January 27. The workshop will be held at Vantage Health System's Training Center, located at 2 Park Avenue in Dumont, New Jersey from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m
This professional development session is open to representatives of local nonprofit organizations that are interested in building their capacity to manage volunteers. Materials will be provided to all participants.
The goal of this training series is to assist local agency staff with the tools to update their skills in management and supervision. Established in 2014, the series responds to demands on nonprofit managers to acquire a new set of skills that prepare them to meet the requirements of donors and government.

The workshop is free-of-charge and open to professional staff in supervisory positions in the nonprofit sector. Advanced registration is required. For over 80 years, The Community Chest, a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, has supported local not-for-profit agencies in the Englewood area. The Chest leads initiatives and supports nonprofits that make our communities stronger and benefit people in need in eastern Bergen County. Each year, The Chest raises funds and allocates them to agencies demonstrating the capacity to provide services to local citizens.
