Rescheduled! The Community Chest: Introduction to Planned Giving

Sign up for The Community Chest's Professional Development Workshop, An Introduction to Planned Giving, taking place on February 21.

The Community Chest's Professional Development Workshop Series presents "An Introduction to Planned Giving" originally scheduled for Tuesday, February 12 has been rescheduled to Thursday, February 21, 2019. Offered in partnership with Regent Atlantic, the workshop will be held at Vantage Health System located at 2 Park Avenue in Dumont, New Jersey from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Jim Sonneborn and Lesley Draper, wealth advisors from Regent Atlantic LLC, will lead the workshop and discuss what planned giving is from the perspectives of the nonprofit and the donor. Common planned giving strategies will be discussed and the best ones to use and to incorporate with recent tax law changes. Attention will be given to integrating financial and estate planning with planned giving. Participants will learn what nonprofits need to do to achieve planned giving success. No Continuing Education Units will be issued for this workshop. A Question and Answer session will follow the presentation.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

The Community Chest supports local nonprofit organizations serving people in need. With the motto, “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”, The Chest’s mission is to lead initiatives and support nonprofits that make communities stronger and benefit the people of eastern Bergen County in New Jersey. The Professional Development Training Series carries out this mission by assisting local agency staff with the tools to update their skills in management and supervision. The series, open to representatives from local nonprofit organizations that are interested in building their capacity, provides staff with the tools to update their skills in management and supervision.
