Englewood Kicks Off Summer Concert Series
Englewood's fourth annual summer concert series commenced Thursday night as the Sly Geralds Band took the sidewalk outside of Noches De Colombia.
The sound of funk echoed across Palisade Ave. Thursday night as the Sly Geralds Band kicked off Englewood’s fourth annual summer concert series.
Englewood’s Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), in partnership with BergenPAC, will be presenting a free concert every Thursday night through August 29 either outside of Noches De Colombia or Levant Grille, both of which are located on Palisade Ave.
“This is the real deal,” Adam Brown, the chairman of the EEDC, said. “This isn’t some mall. This is where people live, it’s a real downtown.”

Amtera Young, a resident of Englewood, was the first to arrive at Thursday night’s concert with a lawn chair and her son in tow.
Young has been attending the concerts for the past three years, and uses them as a venue to catch up with friends, drink some wine, dance and have fun, she said.
