Englewood Manhattan Short Film Festival: How To Vote

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — Film fans in Englewood still have several chances to catch a lineup of short films, weigh in on their favorites and help choose a winner before the festival's local screenings wrap up.

The 29th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival is being shown at the Englewood Public Library, 31 Engle Street, where audiences can watch 10 short films and help select the winner.

According to the library's current festival listing, screenings are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m.; Monday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m.

Audience members will receive a voting card and be asked to choose the one film they think should win.

The library describes Manhattan Short as a “worldwide contest that allows the audience to choose the winner.”

The screenings are free and open to the public at the Englewood Public Library, and registration is recommended but not required, according to the library. Films will be shown in Room 2.

Sunday, Oct. 4 will be the last chance to catch a screening and submit a ballot.

Attendees have a chance to watch the selected films, some of which may go on to win Oscars, before many Academy members see them.
