Students Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month
Englewood, N.J. — October 30, 2015 — After a month of studying Hispanic heritage, students at Englewood on the Palisades Charter School (EPCS) gathered together to celebrate at their annual Hispanic Heritage assembly on October 28, 2015. Joining in on the celebration was special guest, Assemblyman Gordon Johnson who kicked off the morning’s activities and addressed the families of EPCS students.
Each year, EPCS students celebrate the music, food, art and culture of historic Hispanic figures. All grades K-5 create and display works of art, tell stories about important events in history and perform songs celebrating various countries.
“Englewood on the Palisades Charter School is proud of our diversity,” said Dr. Birns, Principal of EPCS. “Our Hispanic Heritage celebration is one of our many events throughout the year celebrating the various cultures of our student population.”
