Joint Anti-Gun Initiative Results In 4 Charged With Attempted Murder In Englewood
BREAKING: Authorities will outline the results of Operation Safe City Thursday at 1 p.m.

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — County and city law enforcement officials will outline the results of a joint effort to curb gun violence in Englewood this year that led to four people being charged with attempted murder, authorities said.
Operation Safe City has resulted in the arrest of 19 people, the recovery of seven illegal firearms, the seizure of controlled substances, and a decrease in shooting incidents, Gurbir S. Grewal, Bergen County's acting prosecutor, said in a news release.
The operation is a joint effort of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Bergen County Sheriff's Office, and the Englewood Police Department.

The results of the operation will be discussed in detail at a press conference Thursday at 1 p.m., Grewal said.
Grewal, county Sheriff Michael Saudino, Mayor Frank Huttle III, and Englewood Police Chief Lawrence Suffern will attend the press conference.
