Man Had 47 Cases Of Fireworks In Minivan: Police
BREAKING: Police found the fireworks after stopping a Dodge minivan on the Palisades Interstate Parkway Tuesday afternoon.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A man was arrested after police found 47 cases of fireworks during a traffic stop on the Palisades Interstate Parkway Tuesday, authorities said.
Officer Michael Collason stopped a Dodge Caravan that was going 74 miles per hour in a 50-mile-per-hour zone shortly after noon Tuesday on the Alpine section of the highway, police said in a press release.
Collason smelled burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle while speaking with the driver, Andy Flores, 25, of Brentwood, New York, police said.

After ordering the four occupants out of the vehicle, police searched it and found 47 cases of fireworks, two marijuana cigarettes and smoking paraphernalia, police said.

Flores told police the fireworks were his and he was charged with fireworks possession, processed and released, police said. A 17-year-old was charged with marijuana possession and released to a relative.
The fireworks will be destroyed by the Bergen County Sheriff's Office bomb squad.
