Northern NJ Community Foundation Awards Grant to Fund for Armenian Relief
The Northern NJ Community Foundation's Andrea Tilbian Halejian Memorial Fund's grant will help at-risk Armenian children and their families.
The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation's (NNJCF) Andrea Tilbian Halejian Memorial Fund presented recently a grant of $1,000 to the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR). The NNJCF donor advised fund memorializes Andrea Tilbian Halejian and contributes to qualified charitable organizations she supported.
"The Fund for Armenian Relief was chosen because Andrea supported the efforts of this organization. FAR caters its general relief and development programs to the changing needs of the people of Armenia. Currently, FAR concentrates its efforts on humanitarian aid, social and economic opportunity and development, child protection, healthcare and education," said Alexis Halejian, a member of the Andrea Tilbian Halejian Memorial Fund's advisory committee.
Andrea Tilbian Halejian, her family and many of their friends support Armenian efforts on local, national and international levels. "The grant will assist FAR’s Children’s Center, offering crisis intervention and rehabilitation to at-risk Armenian children and families. The anticipated impact of this grant is the provision of rehabilitation including art therapy to children receiving care through the FAR Children’s Center," explained Halejian.
