Pastoral Care Workshop
Join us for 'The Heart of Pastoral Care' at St Paul's in Englewood on Saturday, October 10

Come to St Paul’s in Englewood on Saturday, October 10 for a Pastoral Care Workshop. We will gather at 9 a.m., begin the workshop at 9:30 a.m., and conclude at 1:30 p.m.
Whether you are a lay pastoral visitor, would like to be, or simply--but importantly--a person who cares, come and explore a variety of pastoral issues: what pastoral care means, the ministry of presence, listening skills, suggested ”do’s” and ”don’ts,” and confidentiality--all in an atmposphere of prayer and sharing. This day is expected to be the first of three sessions. Participants will be blessed and commissioned at the celebration of the Feast of St Luke on Sunday, October 18 at the 10:30 service.
The Reverend Deacon Joanne O’Neill will be the presenter. She is trained as Clinical Chaplain and Pastoral Counselor. She completed her Clinical Pastoral Education training at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, and at New York-Presbyterian, Columbia University Medical Center in New York City where she also completed a one-year residency in supervision training. Deacon Joanne also earned an M.S. in Pastoral Theology from Fordham University.
