Route 202 Montville Intersection Upgrade Project Begins Today
Expect delays, authorities said. Project is expected to take six months to complete.

A major reconstruction project designed to reduce traffic at Changebridge Road and Route 202 in Montville will begin today at 9 a.m., police said.
The project is expected to take six months to complete. Motorists should expect delays and allow extra time to travel through the area.
The traffic light at the intersection will be replaced and curb ramps will be installed, officials announced, county officials said last month. Other work as part of the $1.2 million project includes:

- Widening Route 202 to two lanes in each direction between the Route 287 northbound exit ramp and Changebridge Road.
- Installing a dedicated right-turn lane from Route 202 to southbound Changebridge Road.
- installing two left-turn lanes and a right-turn only lane at Changebridge Road northbound.
