SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach in Bergen County
FREE pre-screening and application assistance available in Englewood and Hackensack from the Community FoodBank of NJ
The SNAP Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of New Jersey will visit several Bergen County programs in the next few weeks to help low-income families see if they may qualify for food stamps. They will help those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available at:
- WIC Program at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church: 113 Engle St, Englewood on October 15 & 27 from 9:30am to 2:30pm
- WIC Program at Hackensack Health Dept: 215 State St, Civic Room, Hackensack on October 19 from 9:30am to 2:30pm
The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches, and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million New Jersey residents.
