SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach in Bergen County

FREE pre-screening and application assistance available tomorrow and September 24 from the Community FoodBank of NJ

The SNAP Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of NJ will visit the WIC Program at Hackensack Health Department on September 10 and September 24 to help low-income families see if they may qualify for food stamps. They will be there from 9:30am to 2:30pm and help those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available, The WIC program is in the Civic Room at 215 State St, Hackensack.

The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million hungry New Jersey residents.
