SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach in Bergen County
FREE pre-screening and application assistance available on December 8, 10, and 17 from the Community FoodBank of NJ
The SNAP Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of New Jersey will visit several Bergen County programs this month to help low-income families see if they may qualify for food stamps. They will help those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available on:
- December 8 & 17: WIC Program at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 113 Engle St, Englewood from 9:30am to 2:30pm
- December 10: WIC Program at Hackensack Health Dept, 215 State St, Civic Room, Hackensack from 9:30am to 2:30pm
The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches, and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million New Jersey residents.
