Super Bowl-Winning QB Phil Simms, Son To Headline JCC Event
The father-son duo will appear at the Sports Night of Champions hosted by Kaplen JCC on the Palisades.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — Two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Phil Simms and his son Chris will headline a special fundraiser next month.
Simms and his son will appear at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades' first Sports Night of Champions Feb. 13.
The event will help fund scholarships for the JCC sponsors. The JCC will present its Scholar Athlete awards to two local high school seniors, a boy and a girl.

Simms, a 14-year NFL veteran, won Super Bowls XXI and XXV. He was MVP of the former. He lives in Franklin Lakes, but put his house on the market last year.
Chris Simms played college football at the University of Texas. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2003. He played for Tampa Bay, the Denver Broncos and the Tennessee Titans.

The younger Simms suffered a life-threatening injury when his spleen ruptured during a game in 2006 when he was with Tampa Bay. He played in 23 NFL games from 2003 to 2009.
