Volunteers Needed To Deliver Groceries To Bergen Seniors
In response to the coronavirus outbreak, Umbrella is arranging no-contact deliveries of essentials for adults over 60.

Umbrella, a service that allows senior citizens to hire helpers for odd jobs is urgently seeking volunteers to help with grocery deliveries to Bergen residents over 60.
Normally, the company helps to connect older adults with help for tasks like leaf raking and snow shoveling. But as COVID-19 spreads throughout New Jersey, and state and local stay-at-home orders leave many people homebound, there's a growing need for delivery of groceries and medicine.
"We have orders coming in every minute at this point… from dialysis patients, parents with special needs children and more," an Umbrella spokesperson recently stated.
In response to the coronavirus outbreak, Umbrella has begun arranging no-contact deliveries of essentials for adults over 60. Learn more about the effort, request a delivery, or find out how to volunteer here.
