1. Pennington School Celebrates 185th Commencement, Honors Class of 2026 (mercerme.com) — An Ewing student, Robert Connor, is among the Pennington School seniors honored at the school’s 185th commencement, which celebrated 115 graduates from across New Jersey and around the world. Local students received top academic, athletic, and citizenship awards, and the class is heading to a wide range of selective colleges and service academies.
   

2. Longtime local referee passed away Saturday (trentonian.com) — Ewing residents are mourning longtime local sports referee Frederick “Fred” Romanowsky, a 72-year-old lifelong Ewing resident whose burial will take place at Ewing Cemetery on Scotch Road. Romanowsky spent more than four decades officiating soccer, basketball, and lacrosse across Mercer County and New Jersey, earning a reputation for unselfish leadership and dedication within the Soccer Referees Association of Central Jersey.
   

3. Vehicle theft spree in Trenton involves tow truck heist (wpst.com) — An Ewing resident, 45-year-old Walter Mason, has been charged with using his licensed tow truck to steal seven vehicles in Trenton over one week in March, which were then taken to a scrapyard and crushed. Investigators say the vehicles were not repossessions or parking tows, and Mason now faces seven theft counts as the case moves through the courts.
   

4. Calm returns to Delaney Hall, not everyone is happy about it (nj1015.com) — Police are asking Ewing residents to help identify an ATV rider who ran over a township officer at the Delta station at Princeton and Olden Avenues, then fled. The officer’s injuries are not life-threatening, but the suspect faces an aggravated assault charge as calls about reckless ATV riding continue across town.
