Adelphi Orchestra Opens 73rd Season in Fair Lawn: America at 250 & Beethoven Bicentennial
Northern NJ's premier chamber orchestra opens its 73rd season at Fair Lawn Community Center with America @ 250 & Beethoven.
The Adelphi Orchestra, Northern New Jersey’s longest continuously performing chamber orchestra, has announced its 73rd season (2026–2027). Led by Principal Conductor Kyunghun Kim, the orchestra brings masterworks, international competition winners, and symphonic celebrations to the Fair Lawn Community Center Theater.
Centering on America’s Semiquincentennial (America @ 250) and the Beethoven Bicentennial, the full season presents symphonic masterworks across Bergen County and Manhattan.
2026–2027 FAIR LAWN & FULL SEASON SCHEDULE- Concert I: "American Voices at 250" (Fair Lawn Season Opener)
- Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM | Fair Lawn Community Center Theater
- (NYC Performance: Sun, Oct 11, 3:00 PM at Broadway Presbyterian Church)
- Program: Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings and Violin Concerto featuring soloist Sophia Werner (Juilliard Kovner Fellow and 2022 Adelphi Competition Winner), concluding with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8.
- Special Presentation: "Mozart!"
- Sunday, November 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM | Barrymore Film Center (Fort Lee, NJ)
- Program: Violinist TianYou Ma performs Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, followed by Symphony No. 40.
- Holiday Special: Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker Ballet"
- December 12 & 13, 2026 | River Dell High School (Oradell, NJ)
- Live orchestral ballet performance in collaboration with Ballet Arts.
- Concert III: "Beethoven Bicentennial" (Fair Lawn Performance)
- Sunday, February 28, 2027 at 2:00 PM | Fair Lawn Community Center Theater
- (NYC Performance: Sat, Feb 27, 2:00 PM at Broadway Presbyterian Church)
- Program: Guest violinist Maude Cloutier performs Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, paired with Symphony No. 6 "Pastoral".
- Concert IV: "Brahms & Beethoven" — Season Finale (Fair Lawn Performance)
- Sunday, May 23, 2027 at 2:00 PM | Fair Lawn Community Center Theater
- (NYC Performance: Sat, May 22, 2:00 PM at Broadway Presbyterian Church)
- Program: Julia Jones (violin) and Elliott Sloss (cello) perform Brahms’ Double Concerto, concluding with Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.
