Paving Work Planned In Fair Lawn: What Drivers Should Know (patch.com) — Expect lane closures and delays around Fair Lawn starting this week as PSE&G and the borough mill and pave more than a dozen neighborhood streets through Oct. 22. Third Street, Campbell Road, Raymond Street, River Road, and several side streets will see staggered work days, so checking the borough's updated paving schedule before commuting or parking on these blocks will help you avoid disruptions.
2. Adelphia Orchestra to Start 73rd Season: "America @ 250" (newjerseystage.com) — Fair Lawn residents can hear the Adelphi Orchestra open its 73rd season right in town on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Fair Lawn Community Center. The "America @ 250" program features Barber's Adagio for Strings and Violin Concerto with Juilliard soloist Sophia Werner, plus Beethoven's Symphony No. 8, before a second performance in New York City.
3. These CT Communities Rank Among Nation's Best Small Cities: New Study (dailyvoice.com) — Fair Lawn gets a national shout-out in WalletHub's 2026 ranking of the best small cities, placing in the top 25 nationwide. The study compared more than 1,300 communities on affordability, safety, education, health, and quality of life, putting Fair Lawn alongside well-regarded towns in Massachusetts, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
4. Insider NJ's Morning Intelligence Briefing: 9/30/2026 (insidernj.com) — Fair Lawn is set to receive a grant to support a historic house, a small but notable win for local preservation efforts. That update appears within a wide-ranging statewide political and policy briefing that also touches on housing, surveillance, coastal damage, and dozens of municipal issues across New Jersey.
