Baseball Team Upsets Roxbury, Faces Union City Friday in State Tourney
13th-seeded Cutters win 7-2

Behind a five-run second inning, the 13th-seeded Fair Lawn High baseball team upset 4th-seeded Roxbury on Monday, 7-2, moving on to the second round of the North 1, Group 4 state tournament.
Jimmy Hegybeli and Erik Lugo drove in drove in two runs each for the Cutters (13-11-1), who play at 5th-seeded Union City on Friday. Roxbury (18-8) outhit Fair Lawn 10-9, but got just two runs across the plate.
After the second inning outburst, Fair Lawn tacked on a sixth inning run for a 6-1 lead.
