More Than A Dozen Bergen Schools Received Bomb Threats Wednesday
Officers from the sheriff's office Bomb Squad and K-9 Unit were sent to several schools, authorities said.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. – Several Bergen County Schools received bomb threats Wednesday morning.
Fair Lawn High School, Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, Hackensack High School, and Fort Lee High School all received threatening phone calls, said Anthony Cureton, a spokesman with the Bergen County Sheriff's Office.
The Midland Park Junior/Senior High School, several schools in Leonia, including the high school, Hasbrouck Heights, Lodi High School, and Elmwood Park High School were also threatened, Cureton said.

All schools were cleared of suspicious activity, authorities said.
Englewood, Leonia, Fair Lawn, and Hackensack are on spring break this week. Lodi, Paramus, and Fort Lee high schools were in session Wednesday.

Garfield High School and all Elmwood Park schools were also threatened, The Record reported.
Paramus Police Chief Kenneth R. Ehrenberg confirmed that Paramus High School received a threat. It was unfounded and the students went back to class, the chief said.
Hasbrouck Heights police could not be reached for comment.
Hawthorne High School and Passaic Valley High School in Little Falls were also targeted, the report said.
Bomb Squad and K-9 Units were dispatched to each district, Cureton said.
Fort Lee police and fire personnel swept their school's campus. Police cleared the school at 10:13 a.m. and classes resumed, police said.
Fair Lawn received a threat from an automated message this morning claiming that a bomb was in a vehicle in the parking lot.
The sheriff's department swept the parking lot, Sgt. Brian Metlzer said. He did not know if the message was left last night or Wednesday morning.
Fair Lawn police received a call from the school at 7:55 a.m. All units were clear at the school as of 9:15 a.m., Metzler said.
Members of the Passaic County Sheriff's Office bomb squad outlined the seriousness of bomb threats made against schools at Passaic High School Tuesday. They outlined the possible consequences individuals who make such threats could face if caught.
Twenty-six threats were made against Bergen County schools in January. Those threats were made by computerized messages and phone calls.
