Adopt-A-Soldier Platoon Holiday Packing for the Troops

Volunteer's Raise Morale of the Troops for the Holidays

Alan Krutchkoff and the troops at Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon were hard at work Friday, Nov. 30 at the Unilever headquarters in Cresskill. Approximately 25 volunteers were on hand to pick, pack, label and ship over 400 boxes to soldiers, sailors, airmen, coast guardsmen and marines for delivery in time for the holidays.

This group was made up of a diverse lot, from a young Marine Corps captain to veterans of wars and conflicts past, as well as the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, wives and sweethearts of active duty military now serving in harm's way.

This is a hard working and dedicated group hell-bent on getting packages of food, toiletries, video games and other necessities to the men and women in Afghanistan and those serving on several ships and in airfields all over the world. These men and women are away from their families during the holidays, making this a very difficult time for all concerned.
