Fair Lawn Republican Club Donates Santa Suit to Adopt-A-Soldier Platoon
Adopt-A-Soldier Platoon sends Santa Suit to Troops in Afghanistan. Unit Commander to wear suit donated by Fair Lawn Republican Club.
A special request came in to Alan Krutchkoff at Adopt-A Soldier Platoon. One of their adopted units was requesting a Santa Suit for the Unit Commander to wear on base in Afghanistan for Christmas. Staff Sgt. Jose Acevedo sent the urgent request on Saturday, Dec. 1. By 11 a.m. Sunday, the suit was in the hands of Alan Krutchkoff at Adopt-A-Soldier Platoon compliments of the Fair Lawn Republican Club.
The Republican Club was represented by Deputy Mayor John Cosgrove, Club President Dan Dunay and yes, Santa himself. No, that's me, a Fair Lawn resident and proud Fair Lawn Republican Club member, Patch blogger, Marine Corps Family Readiness Volunteer and father of a Marine willing to go to any lengths to put a smile on the faces of as many of our troops as possible.
This is the holiday season and a difficult time for young men and women fighting for our country. The troops are thousands of miles away from family and friends in a god forsaken corner of the globe and high morale is what keeps them safe and makes the time pass quickly. This time of year is also very difficult on the families of those serving overseas. If you get the opportunity, thank them for their sacrifice and acknowledge the great job they are doing keeping us safe.

We are eagerly waiting for the photos of the suit in action. And will update everyone ASAP.
Remember the Troops this Holiday Season.
