Lecture Series

Temple Beth Sholom, Fair Lawn, Adult Education begins its Fall program in October.  Rabbi Zeilicovich will conduct a series of four lectures exploring the issue of faith and its place in Jewish values and challenges to modern life.  The series is called “God and Spirituality in the Modern World”.  The first lecture is Sunday Morning Oct 14 at 10:30am and the series will continue on Sunday morning October 28 and Monday evenings November 5 and
19 at 8:15pm.   This program is based on the theme of the Rabbinic Torah Study Seminar held at Hartmann Institute in Jerusalem, which brought together over 100 Rabbis from around the world to provide new ideas for engaging Jewish life.  Rabbi Zeilicovich had the privilege of participating in this special gathering and will be sharing some of his
learnings with the audience. The topics will include “Faith as a Component of Jewish Life”, “Role of Spirituality in Modern Jewish Identity”, “Relation between Jewish Peoplehood and Faith”, “The Dilemma and the Meaning of Ritual and Practice”
