Parenting a teen or young adult can be like visiting a foreign country -- you just don't speak the same language.  They are no longer babies, no longer turning to you for all their needs.  As they change in body, attitudes and emotions, your parenting style and strategies have to change, too.

Welcome to MomTalk!  We'll address your real-life concerns about raising teens and keeping your sanity.  You will have support, skills and strategies to:

  * keep the lines of communication open and strong

  * encourage responsible, respectful behavior

  * take the confusion out of decision-making by putting values, rather than rules, back at the center of your family

  * let your children experience life and its consequences, so they can learn to problem-solve and self-correct

  * keep you as a trusted adult in their life

  * make time to care for you and explore your potential
