The Knights Of Pythias is celebrating its 150th anniversary during 2014. To commemorate this occasion representatives of Fair Lawn's local Pythian lodge will host a presentation of artifacts, books, and items of historical interest at the library during Founder's Week 2 /20--2/23. The Knights of Pythias is the oldest non-sectarian fraternal order chartered by Act of Congress in 1864, and dedicated to the principles of Friendship, Charity, and Benevolence. Benjamin N. Cardozo lodge(named after a U.S. Supreme Court Justice), the local subordinate lodge, has been in existence since 1951 and has been an active organizational volunteer and participant in the life of the Bergen County Community. We welcome all men over the age of 18 to join us, and those who wish to stop by our exhibit to find out more about joining the Knights may do so during this exhibit.
