Expect Delays At PSE&G Replaces Gas Lines

Dozens of Fair Lawn roadways will be affected, police said.

Several roadways will be repaved soon as part of PSE&Gs gas line replacement project.

Residents may experience delays while work is done. Paving is scheduled to be complete by 5 p.m. each day. Roads will remain open but detours will be put into effect.

Vehicles will not be allowed to enter or leave roads being resurfaced. No parking signs will be posted the day before streets are scheduled to be closed.

Residents should move their vehicles off of the designated streets by 8 a.m., vehicles parked in the posted no parking areas will be towed by the police at the owner’s expense.

  • Morlot Avenue/River Road between the Passaic River and River Road
  • Bellair Avenue between Arnot Place and 1st Street
  • Arnot Place and Bush Place between Bellair Avenue
  • Canger Place
  • Hamlin Court from Canger Place to the end of the street
  • Dewey Place
  • Essex Place
  • 1st Street from Morlot Avenue to the end of the street.
  • Berdan Avenue between 1st Street and Memorial Park
  • 2nd Street between Morlot Avenue and 4th Street
  • 4th Street between 2nd Street and Morlot Avenue
  • 3rd Street between Bellair Avenue and Alyson Street
  • 5th and 6th streets between Morlot Avenue and Alyson Street
  • 4th Street between Berdan Avenue and Lyons Avenue
  • Lyons Avenue between 1st Street and River Road
  • 3rd Street Between Lambert Road and Hopper Avenue
  • Lambert Road between 1st and 4th streets
  • Chittenden Road from River Road to the end
