Girl Scout Coordinating Blood Drive For Gold Award

Katie Chicarella, a senior at Saddle Brook High School, has teamed up with Community Blood Services to organize a blood drive Wednesday.
Blood may be donated at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3484 from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13.
Chicarella is coordinating the event for her Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. It is equal to an Eagle Scout rank.

Residents 16 through 75, weighing at least 110 pounds can donate blood. Donors must bring identification with them that bears their signature. Donors will received complimentary non-fasting cholesterol and glucose screenings when they donate.
