Giron is charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, one count of third-degree hindering his own apprehension by concealing evidence, and one count of fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
He was arrested on Oct. 27 after investigators from the Northvale Police Department and Bergen County Prosecutors Office determined that he murdered Willem with a hammer. Willem was found in the Jamis Bikes warehouse that morning with a head wound, which prosecutors said she died from.

According to an affidavit read in court, Giron approached Willem with the hammer around 7:39 a.m., striking her with it multiple times. He fled the scene after hiding the hammer, the affidavit said, but returned around 8:15 a.m. He then called police, claiming that he found Willem in the warehouse with a head injury.
He later confessed to police that he killed Willem, the affidavit said.
If convicted, Giron, 24, could face a life sentence, NorthJersey reports.
