Man Tries Entering Fair Lawn Elementary School Twice: Police
Breaking: The students were reading in the hallway when a man tried getting them to open doors at Warren Point School, police said.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — A man tried getting students at Warren Point School to let him into the school Monday afternoon, police said.
Police received a report about a man who walked up to a door on the 30th Street side of the building, knocked on the door and motioned for students to let him in, said Sgt. Brian Metzler.
Fourth-graders who were reading in the hallway and stairway on the south side of the building saw the man, Metzler said. The man then went to the playground-side of the building and did the same thing and then walked away from the school.

The man never entered the building and witnesses alleged that this incident "happened on a few occasions," the sergeant said.
The man is described as being about 30 years old and clean shaven. He wore a black sweatshirt with a green hood and green trim along the bottom of the sweatshirt, Metzler said.
