Meet Zak Koeske, New Editor Of Fair Lawn Patch

What do you think Zak needs to know about Fair Lawn?

Good people of Fair Lawn, please join me in welcoming the new editor of Fair Lawn Patch, Zak Koeske.

Zak comes to Patch from the Post-Gazette in Pittsburgh, where he covered borough government and wrote weekly features for the neighborhood sections. He also developed feature stories on local high school, college and professional sports.

Zak, who lives in Fair Lawn, holds a Master's of Science in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, where he was an Evelyn Y. Davis scholar for political journalism. He holds degrees in political science, biology and psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.

At Medill, Zak covered education and diversity in the Chicago area, and later health, science and technology out of the school’s Washington bureau.

Between Chicago and Washington, Zak produced a collection of print, audio and video stories for clients that included The Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch, the McClatchy Newspaper chainAOL Politics Daily and NPR’s WAMU radio.

Zak is Pittsburgh Pirates fan, an self-proclaimed old-school rap karaoke legend, and a lover of craft beer.
