National Night Out [Photos]
The annual event, co-hosted by the police and recreation department, was held Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Memorial Park.
Hundreds of residents turned out for Tuesday's , an annual event that combines information on crime prevention tips and techniques with food, snacks and live music.
For 28 years, National Nights Out have been held across the country on the first Tuesday of August with the intention of raising community awareness of police programs, drug and crime prevention and neighborhood watch opportunities.
Some of the groups represented at this year's National Night Out included all Fair Lawn emergency services organizations, the Community Emergency Response Team, Auxiliary Police, Fair Lawn Explorers, Girl Scouts, End DWI, the Democratic and Republican political clubs, the Fair Lawn Environmental Commission, , and .
