Register Tonight for Fair Lawn All-Sports Spring Baseball and Softball

Baseball and softball registration extends through Feb. 4

(The following information was provided by Fair Lawn All-Sports)

Registration for all children who want to participate in Fair Lawn All-Sports’ spring baseball and softball programs in 2012 will be held in the  cafeteria on the following three dates: 

  • Tuesday, Jan. 31 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m 
  • Saturday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

REGISTRATION FEES

The registration fee is $85.00 for: Junior and Senior Farm, Major League, and Chuck O’Connor Baseball and the Intermediate, Junior, and Senior Softball Leagues.

The registration fee is $75.00 for: T-ball, Instructional, and Softball Clinic.

For families with more than one child in the baseball and/or softball programs: the fee for their oldest participating child is described above; the fee for all of their other children is $75 per child.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES

Fair Lawn All-Sports requires all first-time registrants for its baseball and softball programs to bring a photocopy of their birth certificate, passport, or proof of age to registration to be eligible to participate.

SUMMER TRAVELING TEAM TRYOUTS

Baseball -- Separate teams for Grades 2-8. Once finalized, the dates, times, and locations of the tryouts for these teams will be posted on the baseball page at www.flallsports.org. E-mails will be sent by Fair Lawn All-Sports to all baseball registrants once the summer tryout schedule is set. Eligibility for specific teams is based on current school grade. 

Softball -- Tryouts for teams for ages 10, 12, 14, will be held on Saturday, March 31. Eligibility for specific teams is based on age on Jan. 1, 2012. A free softball pitching clinic will be offered on Monday and Tuesday, March 6-7. For players who sign up for travel team tryouts, a free practice/warm up will be held on Saturday, March 24. Enrollment is limited; sign up at registration.

COACHING CERTIFICATION

Volunteer participation by parents and adults is essential for the success of these programs. Visit www.flallsports.org for more information on the training and background checks required of all coaches for their certification to participate as coaches in Fair Lawn All-Sports programs.
