Saddle Brook NJ Non-Denominational Christian Church
In the Saddle Brook NJ area and looking for a great non-denominational christian church? Check out Powerhouse Christian Church today!

Non-denominational christian church, Powerhouse Christian Church, was launched publicly in November of 2004. Originally it opened as the Allendale Christian Church and held services at Holy Grounds Cafe on W. Allendale Ave. One year after the launch, the church had grown to two services and was in need of a third as the space was a bit confining. So the leadership decided to move the church to the DoubleTree Hotel on Rt. 17 in Mahwah, NJ.
Again, just one year later, the non-denominational christian church had grown to about 85% capacity of the hotel banquet room and another move was underway to the Eastern Christian High School auditorium in N. Haledon, NJ. At about the same time that the church moved to E.C., Allendale Christian Church changed its name to Powerhouse Christian Church and went into contract to lease warehouse space in Wyckoff, NJ.
The non-denominational christian church continued to grow while at E.C. and in December of 2006 began construction to rehab the warehouse in Wyckoff. The first service in the new facility took place on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving 2007. It was a service of praise and celebration!

After Super Storm Sandy hit in 2012, Powerhouse had the honor of becoming an official shelter and sending agency for relief work.
Perhaps most exciting is the reality that so many new people are entering our doors. We are seeing a wide variety of people from all walks of life, most of whom did not have a church home coming into the family.

Our Beliefs:
God
We believe God is the only fitting object of our worship. There is one God, who exists in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is perfectly and infinitely loving, just, and holy.
Isaiah 37:16; Jeremiah 23:23-24; I John 4:7-8; 2 Corinthians 13:13
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, is the second person of the Trinity, and is fully God and fully man. Having always existed, He took on human flesh and was born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a perfect, sinless life on earth. His death on the cross paid the penalty for our sins and is the only basis for the salvation of the human race. He rose bodily from the grave and is now reigning in power with the Father. He offers us eternal life, forgiveness of sins, and peace through faith in Him. He is the only way to God. We await his visible and glorious return to the earth to claim His own and to judge the living and the dead.
John 14:6; Luke 1:35; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 1:3-5
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God and is the third person of the Trinity. He dwells in the believer, glorifies Christ, and empowers us for service.
John 14:26; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:13-14
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the Word of God. Every word is inspired by God and is without error in the original writings.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Romans 15:4; John 1:1
Man
We believe that man is created in God’s image, but because of sin has become unable to please God, and is condemned to suffer eternal separation from God apart from accepting God’s gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:12
Salvation
We believe Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and rose again from the dead, thus conquering death and offering salvation freely to all who, by faith, trust in Him. Salvation provides the believer with eternal life in God’s presence.
John 3:16-18; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:22-24; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-10
The Church
We believe that the church is composed of all those with personal faith in Christ as Savior and is expressed universally through all believers and locally by local fellowships in worship, service, the spread of the Gospel and fellowship of believers.
Acts 1:8; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Hebrews 10:24-25
Ordinances
We believe that Communion (the Lord’s Supper) and Believer’s Baptism by immersion should be celebrated. Communion will be open to all believers, regardless of church membership.
Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 8:26-40; Matthew 26:26-28; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
