Schedule of Activities Announced for River Road Pet Walk & Fair
Take a stroll along River Road with other animal enthusiasts and enjoy the family friendly activities and entertainment – pets invited!

A complete schedule of activities has been announced for the upcoming Pet Walk & Fair on Saturday, September 13th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (rain date September 20th) in Fair Lawn’s River Road District. The event is being presented by Fair Lawn Animal Hospital. The Borough of Fair Lawn and the River Road Improvement Corporation (RRIC) will co-host the event.
The schedule includes:

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Take a stroll along River Road with other animal enthusiasts and enjoy the family friendly activities and entertainment – your pets are invited! Fair Lawn Animal Control and Bergen County Protect & Rescue Shelter will have pets available for adoption, and the Fair Lawn Lion’s Club will be collecting donations.
The event will be joined by organizations, professionals and suppliers that keep pets healthy and strong. Many River Road District businesses will be open for shopping and dining as well.
In addition, three prominent area organizations will be recognized as part of the Pet Walk & Fair for their contributions towards wellness, safety and service:
• The Valley Hospital of Ridgewood and its Volunteer Pet Therapy Program
• Bergen County’s K-9 Units
• Morristown’s The Seeing Eye, Inc. the oldest existing guide dog school in the United States
“You have no idea of the amount of increased mobility that a Seeing Eye dog can give you. It’s unbelievable, and it’s hard to explain it,” stated Seeing Eye graduate Bill Blight. “You develop such a trust with your Seeing Eye dog. The two of you, working as a team – it becomes second nature.”
