Ever since being founded in 1937, The Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company has been delighting audiences with their productions of only Gilbert & Sullivan operettas. This season, they are at it again with their production of The Gondoliers, which will take us on a musical tour of Venice! Which of two gondolier brothers is actually the kidnapped son of the late King of Barataria and rightful heir to the throne? They'll have to reign jointly until the nurse from whom the infant prince was stolen twenty years earlier can be found, and while they have the opportunity, they remodel Barataria on republican principles "where all shall equal be."
