Tourette's Sufferer Awarded Children's Scholarship
Brian Krakower has received the 2012 New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome & Associated Disorders Children's Scholarship.

senior Brian Krakower will head to Ithaca College this fall on the strength of his academic resume and extracurricular activities, which include membership in the Future Business Leaders of America, Spanish Honor Society and class council.
He's also one of the approximately 1 percent of children affected by Tourette Syndrome, a neurological disorder characterized by varying degrees of physical and vocal tics.
For his academic achievement, community service and accomplishments as an individual with Tourette Syndrome, the New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome & Associated Disorders (NJCTS) recently honored Krakower with the 2012 NJCTS Children's Scholarship.

In addition to his academic extracurriculars, Krakower also competed on the school's varsity wrestling team and works as a coach at the United States Gymnastics Development Center in Mahwah and as an umpire for Fair Lawn All-Sports.
Since 2001, more than 200 New Jersey high school seniors have received the NJCTS Children's Scholarship Award for representing themselves as excellent advocates for Tourette Syndrome.
