• SPF Service League Donates $50K in Grants, Scholarships (goleader.com) — Fanwood and Scotch Plains nonprofits just received a major boost, as the Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League awarded $50,000 in scholarships and grants to 18 Union County groups. Local libraries, rescue squads, firefighters, the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA and counseling and hospice services are among the beneficiaries supporting residents’ daily lives. 
• They came, they saw, they voted: 2026 primary concludes (unionnewsdaily.com) — Fanwood voters now know who will appear on their November ballot after the June 2 primary finalized candidates for U.S. Senate, Congress, sheriff and county commissioner. The 7th Congressional District, which includes Fanwood and Scotch Plains, will see Democrat Rebecca Bennett challenge Republican Rep. Tom Kean Jr. in a closely watched race.
