NJ's 212-Year-Old Historic Hotel To Reopen After Complete Transformation

FLEMINGTON, NJ — A 212-year-old historic landmark in Flemington has undergone a complete transformation.

The Union Hotel, first constructed in 1814, will reopen on Sept. 15 at 74 Main St. in Flemington. It is now part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio Hotels.

"The Union Hotel was designed as a tribute to Flemington’s past - blending preserved character and timeless architectural details with elevated interiors, modern hospitality, and richly layered spaces designed to feel warm, transportive, and unforgettable," according to instagram.com/theunionhotelflemington.

The newly renovated hotel will featuer 100 guest rooms, 10 suites, and pet-friendly accommodations.

The hotel is marketing itself as a "new destination for boutique stays, elevated dining, nightlife, and social experiences in the heart of Flemington."

Inside the hotel is Jersey Prime Steakhouse, "where locally sourced ingredients meet culinary artistry, paired with craft cocktails from the stylish bar."

Additionally, above the lobby, JP’s Bar is an intimate lounge for conversation and craft cocktails.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14 and an official opening on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
