• Fall Hiking Week Brings Guided Outdoor Adventures Near Flemington (patch.com) — Outdoor enthusiasts in and around Flemington can sign up for Hunterdon County's Fall Hiking Week, featuring five guided morning hikes at nearby parks including Jugtown Mountain and Sourland Mountain. Led by Principal Park Naturalist Laura Bush, the moderately strenuous hikes run Monday through Friday, cost $40 for ages 15 and up, and require advance online registration and weather-appropriate gear.
   

• Free Flu Vaccines for Flemington Residents and Employees at Borough Hall Oct. 7 (wdhafm.com) — Flemington residents and local employees can get a free flu shot at Borough Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 8 to 10 a.m., with no one turned away for lack of insurance. Walgreens is partnering with the borough, but attendees are asked to RSVP by emailing the Flemington Borough Clerk so organizers can prepare enough doses.
