Flemington DIY Seeks Volunteers At Information Session

FLEMINGTON, NJ — A community arts organization is looking for new volunteers to help keep its programs running.

Flemington DIY will hold a volunteer information session and orientation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, at 26 Stangl Road, according to the nonprofit’s event calendar.

The organization describes itself as “100% volunteer-run and operated.” The session will introduce attendees to its volunteer program and explain ways they can get involved.

Flemington DIY hosts art exhibitions, concerts, workshops, open mics, jam sessions and other community programs. The organization also provides a platform for emerging artists who might not otherwise have an opportunity to display their work.

Advance registration is requested through an online form, though walk-ins are also welcome. Flemington DIY says its events are open to all ages.

For residents who enjoy the arts, the orientation offers a chance to learn how they can support a local creative space.
