Flemington Man Caught Trying To Vandalize Restaurant Sign Again: Cops

FLEMINGTON, NJ — A Flemington man was charged after police said they caught him trying to vandalize a restaurant sign again on Wednesday.

Eduardo E. Garcia, 45, of Flemington, was charged with criminal mischief and unlawful possession of a weapon, Flemington Borough Police said.

Over the past two weeks, Viva Mexico at 148 Main St., had their business sign vandalized, said police.

On Wednesday at 4:25 a.m., Officer Michael Cristadoro saw Garcia trying to vandalize the sign again, said police.

Cristadoro arrested Garcia on the spot.

A follow-up investigation by Detective Sgt. Michael Mariaschin led to Garcia being charged with three more counts of criminal mischief.

Garcia was released pending a court date.
