Flemington Students Head Back To School Next Week

FLEMINGTON, NJ — Backpacks, bus stops and early bells are about to return as Flemington students begin the 2026 to 2027 school year on two separate days.

Wednesday is Hunterdon Central’s opening day, while Thursday marks the return for Flemington-Raritan students, according to the district calendar. The first week will be brief: Friday is scheduled as an early-dismissal day for students and staff, followed by the Labor Day closure Monday.

Flemington-Raritan Regional School District students in pre-K through eighth grade return Thursday after two staff in-service days.

The district includes Barley Sheaf, Copper Hill, Francis A. Desmares and Robert Hunter elementary schools, along with Reading-Fleming Intermediate School and J.P. Case Middle School.

Families may want to double-check transportation arrangements, schedules and opening-day instructions before students leave home.
