Local scouts inducted into Order of the Arrow
Scouting's Honor Society welcomes four new members

Scouts BSA Troop 200 scouts Phil LaBelle, Cameron Lutz, John Martoccia, and Owen Maslanka were inducted into scouting’s National Honor Society, the Order of the Arrow at Ockanickon Scout Reservation in Pipersville, PA. The scouts are now members of Ajapeu Lodge 2.
Since 1915, the Order of the Arrow has recognized Scouts who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. To be inducted into the Order, scouts must first be elected by their peers within their troop, who see them as being someone who lives the Scout Oath and Law in their daily life.
Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions, promoting camping, responsible outdoor adventure and environmental stewardship, as well as providing cheerful service to others. Members can often be found working on projects around camp and they are also often the leaders of their units working to improve the scouting experience for all the members of their unit.

Scouting is often a family activity and becoming members of the Order of the Arrow is no exception. The parents of Troop 200's newest Arrowmen are all active in the troop and both Phil and Cameron's older brothers are Troop 200 Arrowmen, as is Cameron's father, Jeff Lutz, who is the Troop’s Scoutmaster.
"I am very proud of these scouts for successfully completing their Ordeal," stated Jeff Lutz. "I've seen them grow and develop over the years and they really exemplify everything the Order of the Arrow asks of members."
