Local Scouts recognized at Winter 2020 Court of Honor
Annandale's Troop 200 celebrates achievements at Immaculate Conception Church
BSA Troop 200 recognized the achievements and advancements at a winter Court of Honor held in the parish hall at Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale. Owen Maslanka and Alex Senger served as the Masters of Ceremonies for the event. Highlights from the evening include:
· Rank Advancements: Ian Bozzi and Russell Gauthier (Second Class); Cameron Lutz, Phillip LaBelle, John Martoccia and Owen Maslanka (Star); and Nate Nemeth (Eagle)
· Several scouts earned merit badges: Aidan Berson (Communications), Owen Maslanka (Motor Boating and Wilderness Survival) and Nate Nemeth (Fly Fishing and Motor Boating)

· Seventeen scouts received the Totin Chip, a certification which grants scouts the right to carry and use wood tools, such as knives, during scouting events.
Troop 200 Scoutmaster, Jeff Lutz, presented members of the Zodiac patrol with a third-place trophy from this year’s Hunterdon Arrowhead District’s Klondike Derby which was held at the Teetertown Preserve. He also welcomed two scouts – Christian Marciante and Alex Senger - and a new Assistant Scoutmaster, Accursio Marciante, who have recently joined the troop.

Several scouts were recognized for taking on new leadership roles within the troop, including: Andrew Bozzi (Senior Patrol Leader), Phillip LaBelle and Justin Verlin (Assistant Senior Patrol Leader), John Strober and Ryan Walsh (Patrol Leaders) and Ethan Lutz (Troop Guide).
