Troop 200 Tours Nike Atlas and Hercules Missile Launch Facilities

Weekend camping trip was part of 'Military Month'

A dozen members of Annandale’s Boy Scout Troop 200 recently traveled to Middletown Township where they toured the Nike Atlas and Nike Hercules missile launch facilities. Throughout the tour, the troop heard first-hand from retired servicemen who worked at the site. The scouts were able to see the command center and radar stations while learning more about the site’s history of being part of a ring of Cold-War-era defense installations.
