5-Year-Old, Man Dead In Motor Vehicle Crash On GWB: Police
The man was in his 30s. The crash occurred just before 9 p.m. on the lower level of the NY-bound side of the bridge, authorities said.

FORT LEE, NJ — A 5-year-old and a man in his 30s died Wednesday following a motor vehicle crash on the George Washington Bridge Wednesday, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly before 9 p.m., a New Y0rk City Fire Department spokesman said.
A GMC Acadia with New Jersey license plates hit the back of a truck that was stopped in traffic on the upper level of the bridge, said Joe Pentangelo, a Port Authority Police spokesperson.

There were five people in the SUV: a 1-year-old infant, the 5-year-old and the man, another man in his 30s and two women, one in her 30s, another in her 70s. Police could not confirm if the SUV occupants were related or not.
The 5-year-old and the man were declared dead at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, Pentangelo said. The other victims were also taken to Columbia Presbyterian. Their conditions were unknown at presstime.

Authorities were still investigating the crash Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Several lanes on the bridge were closed and there were heavy delays, Pentangelo said.
