UPDATE: Crash Continues To Delay Traffic On And Near GWB

An overturned truck was reported on the Interstate 95 southbound

FORT LEE, N.J. — Two motor vehicle crashes on the George Washington Bridge and New Jersey Turnpike wreaked havoc on motorists' commutes Thursday morning.

There was an accident with injuries shortly before 6:30 a.m. on the GWB's upper level approaching Harlem River Drive. All lanes were blocked and a one-hour delay heading into New York City was reported, 511nj.org reported. The borough of Fort Lee also reported the delay.

There was still a 25-minute delay approaching the bridge from the Interstate 95/80 approach at 10 a.m.

An overturned truck was reported on the Interstate 95 southbound around 5:15 a.m., near Exit 71, blocking the right and center lanes, 511nj.org reported. That crash also caused delays in the area.
