Bergen Man, 18, Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Female Acquaintance: Prosecutor

A Bergen County man was accused of sexually assaulting a female acquaintance Friday, said Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
Justin R. Nikoloski, 18, of Leonia, was charged after police investigated a claim that woman Nikoloski knew was sexually assaulted Friday following a fight between Nikoloski and another man were allegedly having in Edgewater, Grewal said. An Edgewater police officer saw the altercation and was told by the other man that Nikoloski sexually assaulted the woman at a nearby home.
At the home, the woman told officers that Nikoloski sexually assaulted her, Grewal said. The Edgewater Police Department informed the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victims Unit and a joint investigation began.

Nikoloski was charged as a result of the investigation with sexual assault by force or coercion, witness tampering, and disorderly conduct.
Superior Court Judge James J. Guida set bail at $100,000 with no 10 percent option. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail, Grewal said.

Nikoloski is to turn in his passport and have no contact with the alleged victim if released on bail. He is scheduled to appear in Edgewater Municipal Court Thursday night.
