Car Crashes Into Fort Lee Restaurant
The 70-year-old driver accidently accelerated and crashed through the Gammeeok Restaurant Tuesday afternoon, police said.

FORT LEE, N.J. — A car crashed into the Gammeeok Restaurant Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Part of the front of the restaurant at 485 Main St. was smashed in and the crash backed up at Main and John streets.
The crash occurred at about 2:45 p.m. Bo Y. Lee, 70, tried parking in a handicapped parking space in front of the restaurant by accidently accelerated into the building, said Chief Keith Bendul.

No one inside the restaurant was hurt, the chief said.
The driver complained of pain in her lower body following the crash, but was released from the scene, Bendul said.

Building Department personnel deemed the building unsafe to occupy and closed the restaurant, he said. The fire department also assisted with the investigation.
